In Florida:

There is a better chance you'll get struck by lightning than winning the lotto.
Florida: the lightning capital of the world (it's true!)

False!

Rwanda, Africa is the lightning capitol of the world, receiving nearly 2.5 times the amount of lightning as Florida

(Source: Tropical Rainfall Measurement Mission Satellite, 2002)

Florida is the Lightning Capital of the U.S.

Central Florida, from Tampa to Titusville is "Lightning Alley" in the U.S.!

I saw some footage on discovery of Rwanda, & it was sick! They said lightning hit that one small area more times in that one storm then Florida gets hit in a year!

$2500 or so, a few other people hit it at the same time or it would have been more. One number away from a few million!

I don't really think of it that way. I used the money to pay for CNA (Certified Netware Administrator) training and I have never once served as a Netware admin. Ah well it got my foot in the door so to speak and look at me! I'm unemployed and in college! WHOOO HOOO!
what a waste

Actually they were. At the same time the movie was released they released a book titled "Gumpisms: Words of Widsom." That's the only quote I remember.

Not to question that perfect logic.. but how can you afford 5 mil tickets unless you're already rich?
Have lots of friends willing to loan you a few bucks?

Anyone here invest in lottery scratch offs? Wouldn't your odds of winning be better if you bought a lot of scratch offs in bulk?
