So I went on a drunken rampage and thought it was a good idea to hurly my 19 inch monitor a good 20 feet. Obviously that wasn't the best idea i've ever had. I also decided it would be a good idea to put my fist through a double paned window... anyway that's not the point... My friend is letting me borrow his monitor and it's a 17 inch pos. The problem is mine was a 19 inch and my settings were 1600 x 1200 and his monitor can't display that resolution. Right now I'm in safe mode so I can see something on the screen. Do you guys have any idea how I can change the resolution so that I don't have to run in safe mode?

In safe mode it's not using the same video drivers, so it won't do anything if I change the resolution... at least i'm pretty sure

Is the monitor P&P, if it is, delete it and than reinsert it and XP will install it for you.
