Wife hit a deer with the Mini-Van
#31
Well, the problem was a popped spring and ball for the rooster comb, the proble was compounded by a wobbly rooster comb on the shaft
A few spare parts from the last botched Chrysler dealer rebuild on the Second Gen Cummins (My dada) and mine is back together and running. I used ATF+3 (Chrysler 7176) even with the shift kit installed it still feels like oatmeal between shifts, of course having 300K+ on the stock tranny has NOTHING to do with it.
And on a positive note: My speedo works after 2 years of brokenness!
On a brighter note, its amazing what a working (not wobbly) Rooster comb will do for the feel of the shift linkage!
