To start off, I was going to go hang out with a few friends of mine in a town on the way to the cruise last night. The towns name is Oswego, NY if any of you are familiar.

So I'm driving my car so I can leave right in the morning for the cruise, my friend that lives in Oswego is driving his Sunfire, and my other friend that lives in Rochester here drives his WRX.

A little bit of history now. My history with tickets since July has been ******* terrible. An expired registration ticket (forgot about it and the renewal notice was lost somewhere) a speeding ticket for 50 in a 35, and a speeding ticket for 91 in a 65 (in a Dodge Omni).

Now just two weeks ago I got them sorted out. I was going to stop speeding everywhere so I can, one of these years, get my insurance down. What happens, have a no front plate ticket! ****!

Now back to last night. Driving along route 104 going to Oswego, hanging back from the other two so my lights dont get too distracting, they start getting far ahead so I speed up to try and catch them and boom, 71 in a 55. I have no words for how much rage I am feeling now.

This is where I should have gone home. This night wasnt supposed to happen. I go ahead though and suddenly, BLIZZARD! The snow was on the road so fast I couldnt slow down enough. My Kuhmos got pulled into a track that slid me skidding off slightly to the right, just enough to put my almost pristine TII into a grinding tangle with a guardrail for about 100 feet.

I keep going down the road for 1/4 mile and at this point my tires are spinning at 1500rpm in 5th at maybe 1/10th throttle. I pull over to attempt turning around and heading home but I get stuck, not off the road or anything, DEAD ON THE ROAD. The pavement was too slick for the car to move at all.

I get out to check the damage then before I start to get the car unstuck. Front fender is crumpled just above the fenderwell and scraped. Door is scraped, but not badly enough that it needs replacement or filler, and the back fender, which you FC owners know is a part of the entire back of the car and can only be filled or cut out and replaced, is dented and scraped as well. At least that one already had been damaged from the first halloween cruise.

Luckily enough, a guy that lived about 300 feet away comes over to help get me out, my friends think I'll be out in a second and start moving again towards Oswego. I flash them to let them know this might not be so quick. They are so freaked out as theres lightning for the first time ive ever seen it in a blizzard, the power is out for 15 miles, and even 4x4 trucks are all over the road, so they are gone now.

We try digging paths for the tires to try getting the car going again, but soon as it hits snow again, it just spins. finally he goes and gets his tractor with a plow (like full size John Deere, did I mention im in the middle of nowhere?) plows the highway to his driveway, we get the TII up there, and he says I can either wait for the plows to come through or I can use his phone to call my friend with the WRX as apprently T-Mobile doesnt have any GSM towers in the sticks just yet.

Friend shows up, we get to our destination, and we were so put off by the events so far we only went to a local bar, had a few drinks, then went to sleep.

Wake up at 10:30, sweet, I have 30 minutes to get my car and get to PA, ****! So I decide not to go, we go get my car, roads are dry now, I get home having nothing accomplished, missed the cruise, got another ******* *** goddamn bitch **** ticket, and a damaged TII that I cant afford to fix.

How was your weekend? Positive responses appreciated so I dont KILL myself!

Wow, thats a bad story. Cruise was cool, actually it was freezing out. Could have used someone that knew the roads super well. Somehow I got seperated from the pack and got lost as **** out in the middle of nowhere. It was still fun though, cause the roads were really nice.

After the whole thing, I was trying to figure out which car was yours at the meet/cruise.Guess you answered my question!

Good luck with the car, and your license.
