How come pork chops don't taste like bacon?

God , I would eat bacon steaks! ******* pig cant get it right.

 

Actually, if you cut a pork chop really thin and then cook the **** out of it, it really does begin to taste a bit like bacon. Now, if you were to cure a chop the same as most bacon is cured, I'm sure you could get even closer.
