It's funny that the race card is pulled by some of the African American community when the Jones (the man who got his *** beat) was calling the police 'whiteboy' and 'redneck'.

This "beating" matter is cut and dry to me anyway. I was an MP in the Navy and to me this is simple "use of force to equal threat level". Some may argue that the cops had no reason to harass this man but probable cause did exist. A pattern of being belligerent and possibly intoxicated already existed. The officers, if anything used less force than necessary. The way things escalated they could very well have cleared leather and unholstered pistols on this lard-*** and been well within the rules of engagement...

It does not matter if you are a white American, a white European, a white South African, a white Australian YOU are still a descendent of a slave owner to most black people! That is bullshit!!! My family came to America post emancipation, on a boat from Scotland and Ireland as indentured "servants". If it ever comes to the point where AMerica has to pay for reparation to the descendents of slaves, I WILL STOP PAYING TAXES THAT DAY!!! I feel bad that a people's way of life was turned upside down and that they where enslaved... But their own tribal chieftains sold them!

Just to keep some volatile civil issue under wraps to prevent another ignorant display of violence. Mazdadrifter and I work w/ a Black guy and we were all talking about the vid on the news. He never looked at it as a race thing. It was just a strung out fool going nuts.
We have decided we all want new TV sets so we are heading out the front door of the office right now to go riot. We were going to run the 3 miles to Circuit City but decided to drive. Then run up and loot the place in the name of racism. Anyone need a VCR or DVD player?

I haven't seen the video, and from what i have heard of it the guy deserved an asskicking. You do something wrong, resist arrest, assault a cop, you're GOING to get your *** kicked. There's no doubt about that. I don't know a SINGLE cop that would NOT react that way if threatened, it's their job (so to speak). Perhaps he may have been beaten too much, but that's not for us to judge, we were not assaulted, the cops were. They were the ones who felt it was necessary to put an asswhooping on him for resisting arrest, then assaulting them, REGARDLESS OF COLOR.
