I think its an awsome idea. As long as we don't leave the car of the month the same for a year or so, that way we wouldn't be copying any other rx7forum........

I think it's a lame idea
people can already post pics and writeups on their cars or links to their home pages that show off their stuff, making an 'official' car of the month reminds me of school when teachers would single out kids who did all their homework or whatever and their name would be on the chalkboard for a month.
and I can only imagine what will happen when a fc with a park bench wing ends up car of the month because enough people from rx7club have managed to join nopistons and voted for it.

peng you missed my point. people will have to be registered to vote. if you want i can even make it so that they have to have like atleast 200 posts to vote. so the newbs can't vote

I still dunno though, perhaps it would be better to just have a members rides section and a 'featured car of the month' chosen at random from the members rides available selection, eliminating previously chosen ones from availability.
A voting based thing could have some annoying influences, like whoever posts more often bla bla, popularity contest junk... that was an issue I had with school and why I mentioned it, everything was a popularity contest.
I really don't care though, initially I just wanted to play devils advocate since nobody said no :P but my vote isnt entirely devils advocate driven.
