[quote name='Rob x-7' date='Oct 14 2002, 10:16 AM']wow, not one comment that the car is a V8 conversion. I guess as long as the car LOOKS good, its not frowned upon?
you frown on jim labreck. actually the car is a totally bolt in conversion, and he's taking the time to do it nicely. unlike the other guy with the silver fd who swapped in the v8 and runs 13.9's in the quarter (same as stock)

I dont frown on a V-8 conversion at all. I think the problem is alot of guys do basically a stock V-8 at first, then just never get around to working the V-8. You put a 600hp small block in a RX-7, and it will probably not only PASS emissions, it will last 100,000+ miles, not to mention the ease of tuning, and the ease of getting parts or someone to work onthe car for you. Some people get all gay about people doing V-8's in these cars, like they are a ******* Duesenburg or some **** and you ruined the value of the car.

I didn't mean to start a debate about his car.

But if any V8 swap is (going to be) done right, its that one.

That whole kit looks awsome. It's not overly flashy but still show stock lines.
