Yeah but your from Ireland!!!! I picture a country full of bad rotted crooked teeth....like austin powers.

 

at first glance I thought you were talking about the band "white stripes."

 

Well, through a bit of research on the net it seems that the paint on systems are less effective in that the applied film tends to wear off through the night, with an average of 85% left the next morning. I was discussing the concern of whitening only the front teeth with a co worker, who suggested that I might be able to cut and fit the whitestrips over the molars.



ntfd3s - Because natural tooth color varies so much person-to-person, and because the effects of coffee, smoking, wine, etc, as well as dental work (which can cause discoloration) all effect tooth color and brightness, for some people just brushing isn't quite enough. Brushing regularly, even when using a 'whitening' toothpaste, will never get your teeth whiter than their natural color.

 

Yea, I brush a lot, floss even, and my dentist told me my teeth are in awesome condition, they're just naturally "Off-white"



Anyways, they did a test (and this opinion was supported by my local dentist) of all products big and small and in this case it truly is: You get what you pay for. The bigger, more expensive process's whiten them teeth more and last longer.

Yeah, I kinda figured. Although I'm not looking for super ultra radiant white, Just a little brighter. And I think I don't mind doing it every 6 months or so.

 

Let us know what you find out. I'm considering doing the same thing, or getting my dentist to whiten them... we'll see.

 

I forgot to buy them last night, gonna do it tonight. woot!

 

Seems a nice bright white powdercoat finish might be the ticket. Or maybe that stuff they sell to redo the porcelain on old bathtubs....



I brush my teeth, try to get to the dentist once in a while. They are remarkably free of decay, but alas, coffee has left it's mark. I ain't gonna worry about it.
