Well my computer worked fine till Kazaa came along. It started doing dumb **** like locking up while on the internet and totally freezing. Maybe it was a virus I got from kazaa but McAfee virus scan didn't find anything....I donno.

Kazaa is know for having lots of viruses transfered around..

 

kazaa lite is the best, you just need to be careful of that you download. Make sure the files you download are actually what they claim to be. Usually it is pretty somple, dont download the exe for Unreal Tournament that is only 21k and check for additional file extensions on the name of the mp3 files you get.



Also, dont use standard Kazaa, it puts alot of spyware on your computer. Get the program from Lavasoft called Ad-aware. Run it regularly and you will be amazed to find the crap that some programs put on your compter.



WinMX uses the gneutella network, it is way slower and doesnt have nearly the amount of data that is on the kazaa database.
