i used to work at a dealership, and go racing so i can go on forever, but heres a good one

so i have a 58 TR3, and it being able to get a senior discount at denny's. has points. at the time i didnt want to deal with em, so i bought an electric conversion kit.

the car ran great so i pulled it in the driveway, remove the breaker plate, install the electronic ignition thing, put it back together

no start!

i did about 1/2 hour of head scratching and timing lights, before i noticed i had the distributor rotor in my hand

put rotor in, fires right up

Heck, that's not dumb. I just did something similar when I bolted the head back on the Neon and got it all back together, oil, coolant, wires, wires, wires. Pulled the fuse and got my wife to crank it to get some oil through it. Put the fuse in and got her to crank it again. Nothing. Hmmmm. Took me about 5 seconds to spot the connector to the coil wiring laying on top of the valve cover. Plug it in, and Vrooooom!

The stupidest things I've ever done to a car would have to be from behind the wheel. One involved understeer on a gravel road, one involved throttle induced oversteer, and one was due to extremely impaired judgement. Fortunately, all were single car mishaps with a minimum of damage.

this is a dealership one. i think it was superbob, but i'm not sure

he does oil change on a miata, gets the next R.O. which is another oil change on a miata. so he finishes the first car, pulls it out

drives it around to the back, finds #2. i think he wanted to put the first car into the second car's parking spot, but somehow he managed to back #2 into #1, damaging both...

after my 13bt/20b/13bt car, i just like to drive these things. and lol the GXL is kinda fun stock, what other car can you floor it, and yank the wheel 90 degrees, and the car just turns? and for this area its actually still got too much hp...

when i first put my t2 back together i had a hybrid turbo with a 3" inlet, so i went to home depot and bought some plumbing supplies for the TID.

i go out on the freeway for a test drive car just shuts down @5000rpms.

turns out that you can suck those shut, who knew? (everyone else!)

Back in high school I was dinking around in my Mustang and managed to get it high centered on a curb. It was right in front of a bunch of people to, sheesh I had to recruit all my friends to come push me off.

I know what you mean, sometimes I just drive my lo po cummins and think man this is great...But my car is past the point of ever turning it back into just a driving miss daisy car. Its time to take the body up a few levels and actually get the whole car painted.

I use to have my old Gx(SE) for just leisurely driving around in, then I P-ported it.. Some may think that was stupid buts its a howl to drive.

oh I know the feeling, makes me wonder what the **** is wrong with me, and I STILL have a small turbo, lol

dumbest thing I ever did was back up hot and heavy in a parkinglot to make the tire spin because kids were hanging out on the other side of the lot and I wanted to look cool, I backed right into a pole, I was 18 at the time- dumbass.
