Seems to me that it was pretty widely available in the States until about 15 years ago. I also seem to recall that the old brewery outside of Baltimore was the Tuborg brewery for a while.

Anybody remember any popular beers that went extinct?

No, but I went to a sports bar 2 weeks ago that DIDN'T have beer on tap. Wtf? You're a sports bar. Anybody remember when sports bars had beer on tap? When did that go extinct?

I haven't seen Reihnlander in a long time, but its probably out there somewhere. I remember looking at the puzzles on the bottom of the bottlecaps when I was a kid.

So I see! Interesting how it used to be a cheap beer, brewed in this country. Probably sold for less than Budweiser. Now it seems to be a high-end import.

It probably was a cheap copy before. Beer laws are wierd, Budweiser in Canada is considerably better than in the USA.

When I was a kid I remember the cheapest brand was simply a yellow can with 'beer' written on it in fat lower case letters. You were advised to drink it through your teeth to strain out the last of the barley.

It's not extinct, Canada needs a real light beer, so we can still drive home after work.

I'm kidding, but beer is too damn expensive now. I can't wait till the rich ******** have to stand in line with me at the beer store to return their Gibsons bottles.

Bring Back the BUBBA, man 14 beers that you had to drink in ONE night. That was a crime against Humanity if I've ever seen one.
