So I alwasy leave my little dog roxy in the garage and she's pretty good about going out there to do her business (when i'm home).

Today I decided to let her have free reign of the downstairs while I was at work...well, she crapped 3 times behind the same chair...

My revenge was, I breat the crap out of her while rubbing her face in it (yeah yeah, I know you have to catch them in the act but she know's what she did).

Then I wrapped all 3 loads in a piece of paper towel and taped it around her neck and threw her in the garage.

Ladies and gentlemen, THAT is how you deal with a sittuation...

Vote for me in 2008!

You are right, it is too late, take the **** away from the dog's neck, it doesn't understand.

What I don't understand is why she's so good when I am there but when I leave she craps in the house. She understands not to do it when I am there. I need a new approach becuase I feel bad leaving her in the garage all the time.

The dog is just lonely, misses it's master and acts out, but then forgets what it did shortly thereafter. Sometimes this can happen over and over, as i understand it, it would be like short term memory loss for a human.

Really?

I don't get it. The dog is SMART...I mean, I can tell her to stay in my office when I take her to work...I will go to lunch and come back and see her sitting there right by the door. She plays dead, sits, lays down, rolls over, shakes, and jumps through a ring! She listens really well...Anyway, im stumped. Maybe I will just keep her in the garage when i am not home. It's a nice temperature controled garage anyway.

you need to get a kennel and put her in it.... after a week or so.....put her in the bathroom,.... after a week.... a slightly larger room.... most animals (except 94T) don't like to poop where they live. Keep making her area larger and larger and eventually, she will learn to wait until you let her out to poop.

At least you have practice holding your breath for a long time.
