a friend found a complete series 5 j-spec engine, with ecu harness and tranny for 800 bucks, with "low" miles. is that a good price, for an engine that will prob just sit for a while. or should i wait till im ready to install one in an FB to get one? could it be used as a back up to my FD??

 

It's not an REW is it? Just an s5 t2? can't really use that as a backup for the FD.

 

$800 is pretty cheap; but it depends on long "sit for a while" is...
