What good is a parts car if I can't use any of the parts, right? I'm putting together my Leonidas costume. I have a PVC pipe for the spear, and need a spear head. I was thinking of using some hunk of metal from the car, and just shaping it with my angle grinder.



So what piece should I start with? I'm thinking aluminum would be easiest to work with.







I finished fiberglassing my cardboard helmet yesterday, next I need to cut/sand off the excess, bondo, and paint it.

 

Use a rotor, it's all ready got the shape, might be heavy, but it's a good work out.

dont use aluminum with the angle grinder unless you have a wheel thats meant for it. bad things can happen

I ran out of time, instead I made one out of cardboard and slathered it with bondo. Which is probably best, if I used any kind of metal I probably would've stabbed somebody.
