What Me And My RX-5.7 Have Been Up To
#1
Here is what I have been up to I had my car running on a LS1 for a while now im took out the ls1 and am putting this in for now.
Plans are to run the snot out of this engine while i rebuild the LS1 for boost and bring that back into play. Its going to cost $$$$ to get the LS1 boost friendly im going for 600 whp. And just so you guys know I have been running the T56 Manual trans with a stock N/A rear and it has still held up. I put down 398 whp with the stock ls1 and a 75 shot
this LT1 is built for boost ! ! !

Not for this motor. it has compstar forged rods and mahle low comp pistons pistons on a compstar crank. Im going to setup my turbo system around this motor and im going to copy the exhaust manifold for the LS1. I am however going to put 1.6 Roller rockers and new valve springs for a little higher rpm.

i drove the motor this car was in it was a 97 fire bird car was strong even he had a supercharger on it i did not want the SC just the motor. the car was impacted on the passenger side and it was totaled. got the motor for 1k. first thing i did after we pulled the motor was remove pan to see if the components where what he said sure enough

i measured up an MGB at one point, and it looks like a 1st gen 12a engine and trans would actually just bolt right in. both engines mount the same, shifter was in the same place.
the MG would loose like 9 million lbs too, cause the stock engine is 100% british steel
i measured up my TR3 also, the 20b is actually SHORTER than the stock engine, but unlike the MGB the TR3 engine actually makes more power than the chassis can handle already

I'm assuming that's because the TR-3 chassis is a tad fragile, and not because the TR-3 engine is an unnaturally ferocious rip-snortin' stump-puller?
