what to look for when buying 89-convertible

i coule really use some help on what to look for.. im going to look at a 89 convertible this weekend and i have always loved these cars.. im not to worried about the interior or exterior, just mechanical things to look for.. please help

The usual stuff really, nothing to out of the ordinary. You could check compression on the engine if you wanted.



If it is vert check for holes in the top, they often leak.

well the one i was supposed to go look at is sold.. you know of anybody selling one in the southeast.. convertible or not... Daniel

Except that ******* automatic in your car, lol actually, with a convertible, the interior, exterior, top, is equally if not MORE important as the mechaincals. You can get drivetrain parts from any RX-7, but the convertible has unique parts when it comes to everything else.
