Odd that they don't want you to take it to school but they will let you drag it.



Got anyone at school that doesn't like you? Parents know about it? They probably figure they'll smash your car.



Dunno about the exahust part, I'd say they don't want you racing it but they said they'd let you take it to the drag strip? Guess they figure it's fast enough to kill you as it sits.



Probably also worried about you street racing. If you're thinking about street racing, don't do it. Unless of course you have cosmic powers that allow you to keep a road clear of cars, kids, stray animals, etc.



My advice is to relax, ask dad if there's a specific reason for the restriction (if you can ask your parents such questions, I usually could but sometimes the answer was "if you talk back I'll kill you" ) and then just live with whatever. It's not that big a deal really and if you get yourself all worked up about it all you're going to wind up with is a bellyfull of resentment for your parents and a bunch of angst not being able to do whatever it is you think you must do.



It's not worth it.



Just think "Gee my parents are old and wise and even if I don't understand I'll listen to em cause I love em." Convince yourself of that. They'll think you're up to something

 

my first car got all fucked up when i drove it to school
