I am an antique furniture and oil painting restorer in the Washington DC area.
I get payed to fix stuff basically.
It makes a good living here where everyone and their mother has a **** load of antiques and too much cash. Most of it is claim work though.

Flyby116 that sounds alot like the delayed enlistment program. I did pretty much the samething but at age 19. Basic is not hard. Just do what you're told and do it to the best of your ability. Also don't volunteer for anything esspecially "Guide on Bearer". This is the guy at the front of the formation that hold the squadron flag and everyone can see any mistake you may make. Life on base is OK. It just depends on what base you get sent to. Did you get an enlistment bonus? Extra money for getting into a career field that is under manned. If not then you should ask your recruitor about it. I think you career field has one right now. It could be alot of money. Check into it. If he/she says no then most likely they are lieing. Also You will most likely feel home sick in basic. Write your family/friends/girlfriend whenever you get a chance. Also tell them not to send you any food or nude pics while you are there. The training instructors don't like that stuff. Let me be the first to say it " Welcome to the Air Force Trainee". Just do the best you can and don't get in any trouble and you'll be just fine. If you have any other questions you can give me a call at (915) 698-4142 or email me at matthewjconlon@aol.com or at matthew.conlon@dyess.af.mil. Good luck anf take care.
