The PA-RISC systems or the new Itanium stuff?[/quote]

Both, turnkey systems, whatever the customers want, although we aren't doing any itanium at this point since they just hit the market, most shops are going with what they know. We even ship and configure some MPE boxes, talk about STABLE!!!

Damn, that Washington crowd is growing!
I'd like to see more rotaries in Washington. Perhaps we'd get some cool rotary specialist speed shops, like the ones in California and Texas.

I've heard that about them. Their webpage sucks too. Hard to believe they couldn't find a decent web-design place in Redmond.

No, the GEs are different engines(but we have those also.) The EMD(Electra Motive Diesel) is made by a division General Motors. Both of them are used by the railroads, although the EMD are used a lot more than the GEs. The 12 cyl I was working on last night has about 7748 cu. in. The turbo for one of them weighs more than a second gen RX7!
Yeah those are the ones. With the funny flip top valve cover, 2 stroke and all.

I've heard of MPE, never dealt with it. QNX is pretty much impossible to take down unless you get a few bad chips running around.

Solaris is supposedly very stable on SUN hardware, my dealings with in on Intel were pretty mixed.

Had an AIX box that would not die, ever.

And belive it or not, I've got a 2k box that's never crashed on me. Had a few NT4 boxes that were very stable, still had to be restarted now and again.
