My R6 is 02 i got it for 6200 out the door with a helmet and frame sliders thrown in.
I dont see how the gixxer is the "bike to beat" because none of them have been faster or better handling then the 636. I outran a gixxer on my R6 by a fair amount.

id say the honda or the yamaha. if I had to take one it would be the r6 its the best all around. fast as any of the other, but more comfy than most. the r600 isn't bad either. not as fast, more comfy.

A guy has one where I work...he said he took it to 200 (he got it turbo'd by the guy who set the speed record for street bikes not too long ago) and stopped because he was too scared to go faster. He said the bike definitely had more!
