I was rather disappointed in my uncles 50th anniversary vette that I got to drive. Sure, it was fast, and had a seeming endless supply of torque, but th eoverall driving experience just wasnt up to par. Id take an S2000 or STi over a C5 any day.

I didnt get to rail on it hard, but the same applies to the STi, and to some extent to the S2000. The C5 just didnt feel like a real drivers care. It has high limits, but it just doesnt feel as right as the S2000 or STi in general driving, and close to the limits. Im basing this on overall driving impression, not pure performance.

you really have to feel comfortable in a car in order to drive it well, thats honestly one of the reasons i've opted for an FB instead of one of the later gens. i feel comfortable, therefore i drive better. alot of people buy cars just cuz the performance numbers are there, how many people can actually crack out the magazine numbers?

A suprising number of people can do better. If youre wholly comfortable with your car, you could probably do better than the magazines in the performance tests.

But feelign comfortable in a car is what its all about. If youre not comfortable, youll never be able to fully utilize the car.

It helps to not be afraid of breaking the car or ******* it up. I'm afraid to launch mine too hard because I don't want to deal with the diff mount.
