im actually looking at a jetta or gti myself, or anything really under $25,000. so far the jetta/gti look like the best investments and none of my closest friends got em...lol(pet peeve)

ill make sure to take a pic of my driveway sometime. 1 rx7, 1 accord, 1 minivan, 1 toyota pick up, 1 chevy s10, 1 golf, 1 ford anglia estate. inside garage: 1 1961 beetle, 1 anglia panel van.

at body shop: 1 67 beetle vert.

at friends garage: 1 1961 vw karmann ghia.

at rented garage: 1 1960ish beetle, 4 or 5 ford anglias, and a bunch of spares.
the insurance alone would put me in the hole

the coolest thing about the 20th anniversary GTi is the rims and the interior. The motor is exactly the same as my Jetta, but that interior hearkens back to GTi's of old...and the rims make me wanna pee myself. I really really love my 17" sport rims, though. I am SOOOO glad my wife didn't like the base Jetta and let me get the GLS.

Baldy-I'd film it, but somebody stole my camera. I'd become a doctor to buy a new one, but according to John Zoidberg, you have to be careful around doctors, because they are always so poor.

Zoidy-"Leela-be careful with him...he is a doctor, and doctors are so deadfully poor"

Leela-"Rich, Zoidberg. Doctors are rich"

Zoidy-"YOU MUST BE JOKING! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? WHEN?"

Srce-yeah its ******* red...its REALLY bright in person. the light in the pics was early-morning light, so it was at a weird angle.

Also, i read the specs on it, and the Jetta does the 1320 in 15.6 stock, which isn't too bad for a commuter car. It's fast enough to get me to school anyway =) It's also awesomely solid in the twisties.

Anyone know the stock boost on the 1.8T?

oh and Travisty-the 2.8 only has 15 more hp than the 1.8T, just FYI. That's also an awesome motor though.

my bro got a passat with the 1.8t. its nice. the coolest part is that the engine is in there longitudinally, not laterally. oh i just rememberred that his has a neuspeed chip in it. that gives it at least 25 extra hp at the wheels. im not kidding check the site
