oooOOOooo, I like the tribute. The wife test drove one at the rev it up event, she said the new one is much nicer than the original (which wasn't too bad in the first place).

Yea I almost bought one when I bought the truck, I just figured with the buying of a house and needing to tow a boat the truck was a better purchase... a lot more towing capacity, but I think the tribute's are pretty toight.

They had lots of problems.

Tribute has 8 recalls and 62 tech. service bulletins for 2001 model release year!

Compare that to 4 and 14 for the "troublesome" 1993 RX-7!

Focus may be "Da Chumpeen!" with 13 and 262! LOL

Honourable mention to the GMC Envoy with 12 and 184!

LOL are you honestly comparing the reliability of the Tribute to the 3rd Gen RX-7?

Since you're so up on the Tribute's then I don't have to waste my time telling you what changes were made to the vehicle since the 2001 model year. It usually isn't a good idea to buy the first model year of a vehicle.... cough, cough RX-8?

LOL

But if they've just redesigned it.......

I'm sure it will be fine. I think Ford went hog wild on the reliability after the Focus and Escape were SO bad out of the gate.

I did think it was alittle funny that the Tribute actually had 1 more recall than the Escape.

There's actually a lot of cosmetic differences between the two. We've owned several fords over the years and have had NO problems, I would recommend ford to anyone.

I like Ford trucks!

My brother beat the livin crap out of one pretty quickly though.

Whereas my sister used to tow 3000 lbs over the rating on her F150 with no trouble.
