I really wouldnt bother with trying this, the thermal expansion properties of 304L and cast iron are quite different, which is why I said before it will crack... think about the temperatures experienced @ the turbine housing.... 304L is going to expand ALOT and break right off the housing I suspect.



are you trying to integrate a wastegate into the turbine housing or something?

Yes, I'm thinking that's an easy way of getting my boost control issue under control. I suppose I could make a new flange for my wastegate and use mild steel? Does mild steel weld fine to cast iron?
