Best part of the NE is four seasons, just when you get sick of one type of weather the next one rolls in...which is why I don't mind the down time it gives Sports Car owners in the winter, its only 1/4 of the year.
I spent time in SC and FL and to have that weather all year would suck, FL is too humid...But I guess I know why old folks move down there...

True, we were robbed.
I'm not much further north than you are (i am 30 min from NJ).
We had winter start in late november and end in april. 6 months!
I went on my usual Spring break vacation to SC, before my birthday (April 7th) and sure enough I get back and it snowed on my b-day...which hasn't happend in a LONG time.

I'm still looking for a place that is 25 - 30 celcius everyday and 20 celcius every night with low humidity.
I hate winter. This summer was way too short. I don't mind the occasional hot and humid day because they usually bring a warm night that you can sit out all night on a patio in shorts and t-shirt.

if you want warm nights, move to the ca central valley, its like 70-80's at night, but 100 in the daytime...

Yeah I can remember really warm nights in Bakersfield, CA. 104 in the day time in the 80's-90's at night (And remember it's F-32/2 for you celcius freaks. I think. I'm sure I'll be corrected if not)
I love thunderstorms. I actually like over cast days with a warm humidity. Monsoons rock.
