Yea so on saturday at work i had to cut some metal with my cutoff tool aka wizzer. i was in a rush and figured "hell its a two second cut ill be fine"
nope got something in my eye, figured it was just loose and id get it out with drops. Well drops didnt work, so i try an eye flush... hmm that seemed to work.
Saturday night comes around and my eye still hurts, alright well let me try some visine before bed...WOW a lot better, no pain at all. woohoo.
most of sunday it seems fine, little bit of irritation but i figure thatll go away.
sunday night my eye ******* hurts, i cant see anything in there, maybe its irritated from rubbing it still.
wake up monday, ok now my eye is very painful, find a magnifying mirror, oh look a TINY SPECK of metal millimeters from my pupil. sunuvabitch, ER time.
Go to er, towel head guy slams some drops in my eye that burn like he dumped vodka in my eye or something. then he scrapes my eyelid...nevermind i told him exactly where the speck was. Then he takes a QTip and rubs my eye hard as hell....now my eye is still burning...still hurts, and in fact now hurts EVEN WORSE when i blink. He says "hmm thats definitely metal, and its definitely embedded since its been there for 2 days"... yea thanks for telling me what i told you. So he's like "you need an eye doctor" and so he sends me along (after giving me a prescription for percocets...i told him the pain was a 3 on the cale of 1-10 and got percs. my g/f had a KIDNEY STONE and had to go back 3 times before they gave her percs).
So go to the eye doctor he gives me crazy numbing eye drops then puts my head in some crazy thing. He looks through his microscope looking thing and all of a sudden i hear "bzzzzz" now my eyes are watering like hell and numb and i cant see ****, all of a sudden i see a little drill in his hand. The dude drilled my eyeball!
Then he tells me the guy at the ER ripped some skin on my eye so he has to DRILL MY EYEBALL MORE!
so now i have a "pothole" on my eyeball, some crazy prescription anesthetic eyedrops, and a bunch of percs.
wooo having a party by myself lol.

i guess you're flat rate, but otherwise i'd say you're doing something wrong, its not supposed to be hard.

yea i work on a mix of flat rate and salary. but i work 65 hours a week there, from 7-6pm everyday, and then from about 6-10pm i work on either my cars or friends cars. and on sundays i do personal work from about 10-8pm. so i wind up there often enough, either for myself or bringing other people lol.
the money's good tho

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I did manage to get the metal sliver out myself, but not before it left a ring of rust in my eye. Went to the emergency room, sent me to an eye doctor, que the die grinder. Its not exactly a wonderful feeling watching someone take a grinder to your eye with nothing more than numbing drops in your eye. It took me a few minutes to be able to stand up.
