Tomorrow, my friend Josh and I are picking up an '89 GXL for $250 to turn into an autocrosser/road-course car. The car is in need of serious love, i.e a new engine (water seals), radiator, and mild body work. The goal with this car is to compete in the Grassroots Motorsports $2004 challenge, and with a little luck, you'll see my name and my friend's name in print next spring. Of course, we'll have to stick to a budget, which works to my advantage, as I'm pretty broke and my TII is still five hours away from running again. I know a kid that was goign to do the 2004 challenge with a FC too. he flaked out though.

If anything, I can compete with my 1988 Mazda 626 Turbo. I bought the car for $600, in amazing condition, and I've only spent $200 on two new driveaxles for it.
