Craftsman here, never tried anything else. I will go for Snap-On when I buy a car.

Craftsman and Stanley

Kobalt are really nice just out of my price range. Most of my tools are gifts anyway.

Almost all of my stuff is Craftsman. I have used a friend's Snap-On stuff, and its nice, but there is no way I could ever justify the cost.

Regarding Banzai's mention of TaskForce--I think they are Lowe's store brand. The pieces I've seen are surprisingly good quality, and CHEAP!

I can abuse Craftsman stuff until it wears out, then take it to a Sears store and get a new one. How can you beat that?

Craftsman, Stanly, Workforce(cheap home depot brand) and Husky

Craftsman is the best i have used. the thing that makes me stay away from Snap On is... when something breaks i gotta wait for the dude to come around and give me a new one. if my craftsman breaks i drive to sears and get a new one in like 15 minutes since i live close to sears

There only two things you ever need in your toolbox - WD40 and Zipties. If it moves and it shouldn't - ziptie it, if it doesn't move and it should - WD40 it.

Out of that list, I use snap-on... But I mostly use Craftsman because the lifetime warranty = win.
