Vosko, whats up with your videos? after playing for a few seconds they get all choppy and slow and shitty. Happens in any player i use but only with your vids. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

you have the latest mediaplayer?
stop downloading so much porn. i dunno what to tell ya |
Wow, looks like somebody needs some more seattime. But that's where the fun it. Practicing.
Understeering sucks, huh? Don't fight the car into it sliding it. Too much gas with a perfectly balanced like a 7 will either cause understeer or oversteer depending on whatever end of the car the weight is being transferred to. Way too much gas with your amount of power will spin the tires too much to control. Use weight transfer and not so much gas pedal to initiate a slide. That's how the low powered guys do it. Once you hit the sweet spot you'll know it. Lucky you that there is DGTA by you. I think it's a better deal than the SpeedTrial and DriftDay events in Cali. |
that was coo as ****
|
Yeah, I saw a lot of understeer too, but it's all good. It still looked like tons of fun.
|
well i had my BIG tires. next event i will be on the 235/40/17 falken POS tires. its gonna be fun! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
oh yeah anyone that wants to come its may 28th the next DGTA event at Etown https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
i might go, maybe
some people from down here drove up for that one, but i can't stand those kids so i'd rather avoid them if i can |

Well, they are. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png
Go to them and you'll see. It might not be so much fun the first time or two due to the learning curve (developing a whole new set of driving skills) but it's a helluva a lot of fun once things start clicking. They're much more fun to participate in than to merely watch. If you aren't a professional driver where driving well puts food on the table, then don't take it too seriously. Have fun with it. That's what drifting is about - having fun. If it looks good from the spectators point of view then all the better. vosko - running with POS tires might be good for those new at this to get a feel for when the car starts to give out, but they'll only take you so far. Once you get better, get better tires. They'll give you much more control during a slide. With POS tires, once they let go, that's about it. Good tires still have grip even when they're letting go. Well, I'm sure you know that but too many people preach about using POS tires and how they're the way to go. |

vosko i might be up for the 28th, how much was it to get in and what time did u get there
oh yea nice runs, although u had a lot of understeer in the beginning it looked like u started getting the hang of it. im just hoping i dont turn my baby into grated cheese on a fence |
jon knows he can dift. if he works hard at it he dift if he wants to drift
|
i was supposed to go to etown last night but couldnt make it, i might go to the 28th drift event though
|
I saw a vosko drifting video and was expecting terminal understeer, and that is what I got https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png . Let me take you for a ride in your Fd in a wet parking lot and you'll see how to do it at a lot slower speed
|
haha can i drive ur car too vosko, ill let u sit inside if u want
im just gonna put on bald ass tires when i go maybe in the mix of spinouts and uncontrolled slolums(did i spell that right) ill pull off a semi-exicuted 4 wheel drift and catch it on video. with some editing, loop repeat and some D1 drifting videos and throw in 99red balloons ill be a drift king!........ maybe |

Seattime is seattime. Nothing can replace it. Nothing. A total newbie can get behind the wheel of a car from the Japanese D1 and still not be able to drift it. An experienced driver can slide about anything.
|
******* .wmv format flickers constantly on my computer out of nowhere too, they worked fine one day, but now all it does it flicker as if the refresh rate sucks or something.
upgraded windows media player, upgraded video card drivers, changed refresh rate, changed screen resolution. i hate .wmv kevin. |
i am a pretty experienced driver.................. been on road course once........... i have lots to learn still. i added the music as a joke. we'll see what happens at the next drift event. i need power steering! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
|
wow amazing my .wmv files play normal now.
vosko i'll teach you how to drift my durango if i can take your fd down the 1320 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png kevin. |
