I was gone and now i'm back. First picture is of the Stanley Steamer in the Stanley Hotel. Sadly I couldn't get any of the good pictures I wanted in the hotel, because you had to be a registered guest . Next year i'll have to stay in the hotel.









Saw all sorts of Elk. Missed a picture of one with the horns, but this one was close.









Here I am obeying the don't feed animals sign.









Driving along through the National Forest.

Where is that "National Forest"?



LOL Those little guys must be pretty confident and comfortable with people to be able to sit on your lap like that! That's sweet.



Oh and that Elk..shoulda shot it...good eatin! :P



That last shot looks like something out of LOTR. Hahah. Would make a nice spot for an FD photo shoot!

It was cold up there.







And the hike begins....







A while later....







Then we hit snow...







Then a lake....







Still walking, trying to make it to the top...







Almost to the top. As far as we made it though. I slid down to Katie on my *** through the snow. It was a blast.







And looking down at the lake where we had been. Only a 3 hour long walk back now

Snow in June? You can keep it! LOL!!



Thats like Mount Washington in New Hampshire in July. There was snow at the top there too.



Looks like you had fun .. nice pics! Thanks for sharing.

By time we made it to the snow I was warm in my shorts and T-shirt though. LOL

LOL if you think the air is cold, you shoulda jumped in the water!



Nothing refreshes you like a dip in a stream just below a glacier. Until you get a pounding headache because your scalp shrinks so much it starts to crush your brain.
