that doesn't mean its going to be a 4 door though. They intend to make a sports car, thats what they have said several times, They would have to be some pretty dumb ***** to make it a 4 door.

Makes better sence. Plus I would rather see it as a 2-door. Not too into the Rx-8 anywho.

Same here. If it was a 4 door.. they couldn't call it an RX-7.

one of the bigger problems that the critics observed of the fd is that it was too small for the test drivers to even fit into comfortably.. maybe they are just making the adjustments to accomidate larger drivers...?

Guess they should get smaller test drivers then. Get the fatasses out of there.

i fit just fine. they should let the enthisiasts drive 'em. and what about the miatas and the the other small car out there.

i think that 2006 might come more quickly than we think. i sure can wait, especially if mazda really gets their **** together with the new renesis enging and it has a good feedback response....but the 4-door, suicide door might not be too bad. however, i am still QUITE partial to the 2 door platform...

a two door will be much lighter than the 4 door... Hopfully they will release it a year in advance here in Japan before the USA like they did with the FD.. Not that I would be able to afford one..

From what I have heard is that the RX7 will have the rotor size increased to 10mm and it will not be turboed. Not sure if it is true though.

I hope they do keep the twins.. it's kind of a mark the FD has.. I mean what other car has a rotary engine..? ..well now the RX-8.. and what other car has a twin turboed rotary engine..? The RX-7! :bigthumg:

**** that, it needs to be single turbo from the start... 1/2 the **** to break and easy to do a turbo upgrade on and a lot less weight.. O' and it needs to have way less hoses...
