yea, caddies are great, you should move on that while their still available, you need to roll to the early bird special in style, you can't eat dinner at 3pm driving an audi. Not to mention they have a special "gout" accelerator you can have installed so you don't go too fast when you got the gout on your right foot.



Of course they are "reliable" the owners only put about 700 miles per year on them and all of those miles are driven under 40 MPH, you could prolly make any car last forever with that kind of wear

 

Also the back seat lays down in the center so you can load your shuffle board stick in, something not all cars have.



Oh and let's not forget the false teeth holder on the dash that you can put your efferdent tablets in for those long drives (like the 4 hour ones, you know 20 miles away from your home)

everytime i get stuck behind some caddy going 15 under the limit i think "oh it's just an old fart" on the off chance i get around him only to find the guy is in the 55 to 60 range i say "nope just a douchebag", which leads me to my point, if you aren't an old fart driving a caddy then by process of elimination you are the latter.

 

The famed Nurburgring in Germany has become the setting for speed these days. Many of the Manufacturers seem to be lining up to test their cars and vie for the “fastest car” title. The Ring used to be holy ground for Porsche and Ferrari but recently the Americans and the Japanese have started utilizing the Ring as their German proving ground.



This morning word came across the wire that Cadillac’s CTS-V has been lapping the Ring at just under 8 minutes. Truly a blistering time at Nurburgring and possibly the fastest time ever documented for a sport sedan.



Here are a few notable times from a few European cars as well as the Corvette Z06. It’s hard to believe that the new 2009 CTS-V is within a few seconds of a 2008 Z06.

8:13 — 150.43 km/h — BMW M5 (E60), 507 PS/1844 kg (sport auto 12/04)

8:09 — 151.66 km/h — BMW M6, 507 PS/1761 kg (sport auto 12/05)

8:06 — 152.59 km/h — Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG (sport auto 04/02)

Err.. if you look closely, that CTS-V isnt exactly stock...it has a rollcage and I dont think it's that low stock either.



And the cars its up against...well its up against times that were made 4 years prior +.

Yea they have a CTS club here, i think they call it the Elk's or the Shriners can't remember. They meet on Wednesdays, you know talk about the "big war", FDR and the good old days.
