just go buy a new tv if your old one is screwed. repairing an old tv is not worth the hassle and money.

i would invest into a JVC. my folks bought one back in 1986, and my girlfriend uses it, still works great!!

I second this, we have had this widescreen of ours for a long time and it's gone out twice. If we'd known it would do that, we would've foregone fixing it and spent the repair money on a nice HD. I ended up getting a bigger, better, High-Def for myself so now Dad's wanting the old one to blow so he can get one like mine.

A JVC widescreen? Yeah, hi-def is the shiznizzle, but not worth the money currently. Once they lower the price of it, it will be had in this household.

Hell, I don't watch tv that often now. Only watch family guy on Sunday's, then I turn the tv off.
