an 8.5 earthquake was just reported off the coast of Sumatra Indonesia

I believe very close in size. they know about the quake now, but no clue what the hell is going on out in the water because it is nighttime there.

yea just read cnn, appears that it was an 8.2, same size as the other and odds are very good that another tsunami will hit.

hopefully it won't be too bad. They are saying everyone is moving to higher ground.

My father told me that he read somewhere that there was a tribe of native peoples, who once they saw that the sealine was receding moved to higher ground, and all survived. The ones out at see noticed something and moved to deeper water and all survived.

Ya, I read about the earthquake too, hopefully another tsunami doesn't happen. But if it does at least they know what to expect this time.

Update: No tsunami occured, but as many as 290 died in the earthquake. There was a small (less than 4 inches) Tsunami reported far off the coast of Australia, though.
