We've already got a pretty big one, although they are already use to it cause they have been staying at my mother in laws... anyhow I dont forsee them "lowering" themselves to the floor, that would mean they would have to leave the couch or the bed LOL

the boys only go to the tile when we eat, even then they sit on thier little carpet
in front of thier bowls and watch
