You're going to tow the 1st gen with the towbar, right? It should be fine, but if you're going far you'll want to remove the driveshaft.

Yuppers that's what I'm after. My only worry is attaching it and not wrecking the oil cooler as it does hang down fairly low on the 79.

You could always rig something up out of angle iron if there aren't any spots to attach it.

They took away my welding tools a long time ago, something about this extreme fetish with putting rotary engines into anything. . .

Next Project: Rotary Powered DeLorean

If I had some money to piss away I'd put a 900 HP 20B in a ZO6 and piss off chevy people. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i've heard this before, but never heard the explanation. why should you remove the drive shaft? what will it damage? and how far can you tow without removing it?

It's not a good idea to have the transmission spinning in neutral for a long time. I would say that more than 20-30 miles and you should remove it.

I love some of the things that guys do to street rods, love to go to Goodguys shows and the like. (Uh oh, I'm in trouble for admitting that! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR )

If I ever get money to piss away I'd like to get one of those fiberglass 32 Fords bodies and put a rotary in it just for kicks.
