I have determined that FB's in their day were for woman or gay men. Think about the market of cars in that time frame. Those were the days of big hunks of steel muscle cars. What kind of straight guy was gona be caught dead in a little tiny import of a rotary powered FB? Women and gay men.
The muscle car was long dead by 1979. The American auto industry was making big square cars with wimpy smogged-out V8 engines that handled like boats. Anyone looking for a cleanly styled, lightweight and sporty automobile was looking to Porsche, Datsun, and Mazda. Their sexual orientation really didn't have much to do with it. Lots of rich old fags drove Cadillacs. |
