Top Reasons Fd Suck!

[quote name='94touring' date='Jul 20 2005, 04:21 PM']Here's a question for everyone. So what if someone owns a car, or several cars in most cases, and just doesn't have the time to work on the car himself. Does that make him less of a car enthusiest? What if he'd rather fork out money than get his hands beat up every weekend? Whats so bad about that? If I had to guess I'd say Jay Leno doesn't do all his custom work himself. I seem to remember reading he has his own little crew that takes on projects. What about any professional race car drivers out there...do you think they take the engine out themselves and rebuild it for the next race?
Can't people buy cars because they enjoy them and pay someone else to do the work without being sterotyped as an idiot?

I do my own fixes for the most part, and learn things as things break. I probably will never attempt to tune a car or anything big electronic, but bolt-ons and regular maintenance is something I'll do, I pulled an FC motor and put a new one in and connected all the doo-dads and everything functions, Guess I know a little somethin somethin (although the work was with a friend too )
My problem now is time. My FD's been waiting for an oil change for 2 weeks + now, and I've literally had something to do all day and then a break for dinner, then all night for the past month...I hate being this busy.
And yea Joe, I think I remember hearing that, but I suppose thats why the similarity exists, much like the Celica-Supra history...

a car commerical would never have a peice of **** like at 2nd gen bow to a new car because everyone knows it's not worthy. I appreciate the fact that they used our car to bow to it because i know that in their heads they KNOW the Fd owns the **** out of any mitsubitchy

an idioic comparison lol , no **** a 74 ferrari isn't because thats a whole different class. Im just saying, no car producer is going to use a FC/Daytona/porsche mistake944/ or whatever the **** else it looks like on a commerical, it's just plain ugly.
