Well it was a busy day, I threw the lines in the water around 8:30, got back to the helm set down and ZING, the real was singing.

1st catch was about a 10 or 12 lbs bonita, not good to eat, but great as cut bait.

Next came about an hour later, this guy had some fight, got it to the boat and it was an ugly looking baracuda, set him free.

Around noon as we were heading back we hooked something edible. About a 15lbs King Fish. He fought hard to the boat, saw the boat and kept fighting.

Sorry no pics today!

Do you wear the wrist bands for rough seas?

I like peanut butter and false albacore sandwiches on a hot day with a bottle of Budwiper that has a sunfaded lable.Gets me in the right mind set in the offshore sun.

Nothing like realing on something that feels like a car towing ya.

I went tuna fishing earlier this summer. We got 4 in the boat over 100lbs and pulled in lots and lots of 30+ pounders all yellowfin. Also caught a lot of trash fish and hooked onto one pretty big shark. It was fun.

Unlike phins, I do drink on the boat. lessens the pain of sunburn, and I never get seasick either. I've been on and around boats since I was 20 days old. (Born dec. 11, on a boat for new years) and loved it ever since.

You go snapper fishing at the rigs very much? Thats our usual, but we also troll for cobia (lemon fish and ling are the same as cobia for those that don't know). Also do a fair bit of spanish mackeral around the islands. the west end of horn island (Mississippi) is some of the best spanish mack fishing you'll ever see.
