Looks like they are trying to close the "gun show" louphole. The fact that it will be illegal to own an unregistered firearm should be of great concern, once you register, it's only a matter of time before they outlaw certain models and by then they know who owns them, knock, knock BAM in comes your front door.

‘(1) IN GENERAL- It shall be unlawful for any person other than a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector to possess a qualifying firearm on or after the applicable date, unless that person has been issued a firearm license--



...



The term ‘qualifying firearm’--



‘(A) means--



‘(i) any handgun; or



‘(ii) any semiautomatic firearm that can accept any detachable ammunition feeding device; and

Buy as many guns as you can afford, and as much ammo. Never lie to an official. Its a felony. You may have one awfull memory however. You might have gifted those things to friends. Give one away so this will be true to some extent.

I sold all my guns at the gun show last week, bought tazer and some pepper spray, i feel safe.

Collect ammo, look for 992r compliance on all your sporting rifles.

or you can move to Alaska , you don't need a license to carry so that law does not apply here. And they will never take away firearm ownership. This country was founded on war and violence, and will never get rid of it.

Alaska hasn't exempted themselves from teh federal gun laws. Unless I missed something Montana is the only state with legislation underway to exempt themselves from the federal laws. (fully auto,etc, etc...)

They wont exempt themselves because Sarah Palin rather compile superbowl commercials than organize any type of legislation...
