I was also thinking about buying a used one, but they are selling leftover 2006 ones for invoice minus $3000 in rebates. Seems like a good time to jump on one of those. theres like 5 used ones by my house, for 18ish.... |

My buddy at a Mazda dealership let me drive an 04 with 31k on it for the day yesterday, and I think I am sold on getting one. I really like the car, and the price seems right for what I can get one. The one I drove seemed to idle a little rough though, that concerned me. And it was a weak start when I turned the key, I didn't like that either. Are there other warning signs I should look for with this car? I also heard from a guy at Mazda that the 04s had some engine problems, but newer ones didn't?? I just don't want to end up getting one I'm going to have to fix.
