I think somone cracked open a dog's eye and didn't find the existence of rods or cones. I don't remember which one but one of those (or maybe boths) allows us to see in color. She was loco. Maybe she meant that the car could only be new for the instant it was completed, and then it started aging.

naw, im goin with the loco part. We were playing Crazy 8s once and she told all of us to be quiet because "those racoons are knocking on my door again". Naturally I laughed but she slapped the back of my head "for my foolishness".

My interpretation would be the river is constantly moving, the same water, the same rock all tings move, you could never repeat that exact moment in the river. ='s, life is constantly changing, moving forward, you can never go back to a previously existant moment, it will never quite be the same.
