******* thieves. I was dropping my friend home last night at his unit complex when we saw two guys running away from one of the cars in the carpark. We chased them across the road into the bush but the little ***** got away. My mate was going psycho kicking the trees and yelling next time that will be your head. We went back to look at the car and they'd ripped the dash open and had been trying to hot wire it.

Meh, that's nothing special. Alarms, etc... are only to keep the nosy kids away...people who do this **** "for a living" won't stop at anything.

low jack, in car alarm, and back-up power supply seems to be like the best bet to me.

That thread made me really think about how I can protect my car. Can you just put a relay switch on the wire that gives power to the fuel pump? That way you could put the switch in a kinda hard place to find. So when ever you leave the car just flip the switch and go. Sure this wont save your stereo system but they wont be able to get the car moving. Where is the wire that supply's power to the fuel pumps?

It's DEAFENING if you put a 2nd horn in the actual interior of the car itself. I wont even spend the 2 minutes jacking your radio and speakers, i dont want to go deaf.

Yep, dont want to go deaf!!! Why would i want thoes speakers??

hondas are a little harder than mazdas. lets see... hmmm... i can get into a 2nd gen in less than 10 seconds., and a 3rd gen take a little longer. but i dont do that.

and i wont elaborate.

try stealing your own car one day though... 2nd gen guys will be amazed how quickly you can get in if you practice adn you dont even have to break anything.

like someone said before, if someone wants your car and knows what they are doing, consider it gone.

man, wish I knew what you know last week when my car locked me out . All 3 keyholes stopped functioning, though the key started the car (later, once I got in).
