I may make it motorized if I can find a small motor with a lot of holding power. I tried a few R/C car servos, but they could'nt hold the plate all the way up.

What about having it spring loaded and having the servo just help it a little bit?

I like the minor plate modification at the bottom.

I'm working on the spring loaded idea right now, having trouble finding ones that will work. Mod, what mod? I don't see no mod LOL

I had a buddy who used a vacuum motor to work his. When his truck was running it would suck it up. When he shut it off it would drop down.

it is stuff like this that makes me very happy that this law doesn't exist in florida, along with things like, emissions testing, it is a wonder that there aren't more fast cars around here

Will it stay deplyed while you are under way or will it flap up with the force of the wind?

The real ghetto way...use zipties!...lol. That's how my front plate is, but I have no money and no creativity, so I just used zipties. My plate flaps around, but hey, good airflow too.
