so i got out my calculator



nov 28 (filled up) to jan 18 = 51 days

765 litres - 10% = 688.5 litres

688.5 / 51 days = 13.5 litres used per day

76.5 (10%) / 13.5 = 5.6 days of heat if i dont fill it up











































either this house doesn't hold heat or the furnace is wasting fuel.. or both

you dont appear to have calculated the thermal effeciency there, just the fuel consumption.

I see where you messed up. You need to be measuring the tank capacity in gallons, which are much larger than those metric liters. By using gallons, you will find that the number representing fuel consumption will be much lower.



Unfortunately, this will not have a favorable impact on the number of days until you run out of heat. Our calendar is much the same as yours in that we both use days. If our calendar used half-days, you would find that it would double the time-til-empty.
