[quote name='Maxt' date='May 1 2005, 12:00 AM']Its not decriminalized here...yet.. I really dont think just making stuff not illegal solves anything, cigarretts are legal here to, people still kill, rob, and beat for cigarrettes, and organized crime is a large player in the underground tobacco market...Bottom line, drugs are bad mmmmmkay..

We have a national gun registry, that has failed consistently to stop any crimes.. 4 police officers were recently gunned down by nutball in Northern ALberta, said nutball was a convicted felon, he was not aloud to own firearms, despite the gun registry, he still had illegal weapons that were illegal before the registry, that he aquired after the registry was put into effect, he had non restricted weapons as well , with no registration..But Joe duckhunter with a peashooter gets a year in jail for the registry screwing up the serial number on his gun...Welcome to Canada, the global capital of total incompetence..

I really dont think we have less crimes per capita, maybe just total crimes, every week in a city of a million someones dies, every night, it seems someone is shot , stabbbed or od's... If our police force fails to discover, stop or catch criminal activity, it makes the statistics lower as well, with Canadas approach of dealing with things through non action, that kinda of scenario would not suprise me at all.maxt

yeah its the same anywhere, gun laws only penalize the people who have guns legally in the 1st place.

I'd like to see those numbers when the temperatures are comparable per city... people aren't gonna go break into cars when it's -7 degrees out and snowing
