[quote name='Rob x-7' date='Jul 18 2005, 03:38 PM']its funny that some people equate a $12000 used car with some sort of status

to anyone that doesnt like RX7s its just some old worthless jap car

The same could be said for any materialistic object.

most common comment regarding someone owning a FC verus a FD:

you cant afford one so you dont like them

so therefore I say that some people equate a FD with some sort of status

I dont equate any 10-15 year old car with any status

SC300 power! Isn't that what its called?

Hey BTW: that guy who drives the silver 350 gets on my nerves. Ya know the guy...has a gotee and knows everything about everything. You missed an interesting story he had the other night. I was talking with someone else but caught the tailend. It ended with "no offense but the guy was (pointing at me) his size". He drives like a douchebag too.

If I could afford an ultima GTR or cobra kit car I'd buy one in a second. Its not that I think of it as a status symbol, I just love the way they look, sound, and perform. I don't give a rats *** if people like my FD, my mini's, or anything else I own. I enjoy them because its what I like.

if I didnt own my car for so long I would get rid of it, I guess im attatched to the thing

I was eyeballing a cobra replica in the local paper for sale

also thinking of getting rid of the vert and the lexus and buying one car that I will enjoy driving everyday- then getting rid of in 3-4 years when I get tired of it

Seems stupid to keep a car in the garage all the time just to drive something mediocore daily.

Being serious... Yeah, I wouldn't mind having an FC to use as a daily beater or something. But if I owned one and it just sat there and never got any use while I paid insurance on it, I'd sell it too. The only kinda cars I would own and never drive would be something collectable, show worthy, or something I just absolutly love to drive from time to time.
