everybody uses unreliability as a crutch...

they arent that bad, its more the retarted people that 'work' on them that cause the problems...

[quote name='89 Rag' date='Jul 18 2005, 05:00 PM']I can afford one, or a six pack of 'em. Maybe, if I bought 6 FD's I could make one run really good though.

LMFAO.

Hell fd's arent really the heaviest rx7 ever made....i mean hell half the time it feels like theres no motor in the front...oh wait there it is on the counter until they pay someone to fix what they fucked up and then put it back in. at which point they'll find a hairline scratch and bitch and moan about it.

oh and god forbid they run into a new eclipse, ill have to go build a ******* ark to survive the tear-nami.

[quote name='94touring' date='Jul 18 2005, 09:05 AM']But you can't afford them or an FD so you drive an FC. We know how it works.

I don't understand the unreliablity thing. You guys are telling me this, but I'm someone who has daily driven FD's for the past 5 years with no major problems. I drove a single turbo FD for 3 years running 18psi on pump gas without a problem. I drive a basically stock FD now without any problems.

I thought we were slinging ****, not being personal!

I was just reflecting on some of the various projects over the last few years where some people have modded thier turbos and stuff, and then posted a few weeks/months later talking about how thier engine blew up, or the posts of how "I took my car to this shop" and "they screwed me, overcharged me, took forever, all of the above", etc. Of course that isn't an FD specific problem, it can happen to anybody, but the stories seem to originate from the FD camp, or so it seems.

It seems like some FD guys are intimidated to actually work on thier car, and those people seem to be the ones that have the multi page "this shop screwed me" stories.

its funny that some people equate a $12000 used car with some sort of status

to anyone that doesnt like RX7s its just some old worthless jap car
