TEST DRIVE RESULTS

I test drove the mazda speed 3 today and let me tell you the car moves. it feels weird though it feels laggy like when i shifted the power would go away (normal becuase of blow off) but the power felt like an on off felling. Not turboish felling where power comes on progresivley but like a N2O hit. the 6 speed tranny feels like it is not giving the motor enough time to unwind but thats before i looked at the speedo and realised how fast i was going. Mabey im used to a 5 speed and not used to the feel of a 6 speed but i will be getting one in january when i get my income tax check for like $5000 so

i work for a mazda dealer and was one of the lucky ones who was flown to road atlanta to drive the speed 6 at full speed and let me tell you after driving both the speed 3 and 6 i believe the speed 6 is where its at............. 2nd and 3rd gear pulls in the 6 are flippin awsome

the speed 6 falls off after 5500rpms, if youre deciding between a mazdaspeed 3 and 6, its tough only cause 6 is awd and 3 is fwd.
the 3 definitely feels and sounds like it moves better then the 6.
if i had to chooser between one id be hard pressed to choose one, but would probably go with the 3.
also the test drive car you rode in may not have had the PCM updated, some of the 3's and 6's have shift problems and lag problems, we reflash the pcm and it goes away.

The way the damn gas prices are going, the one overriding characteristic that will influence my next car-buying decision will likely be fuel economy. I really don't like it when the amount I pay per month for gasoline is equal to the payment on my wife's Audi.
